What a delightful little place tucked into a strip mall. It's part bakery, part cafe / sandwich spot, and yes, it is adorable, with tiny alpaca and llama stickers all over the counter, with walls decorated with stenciled Nazca line designs and the standard (pretty) fake grass/flowers selfie area. There are vegetarian options - vegetarian panini, spinach/cheese empanadas; papas con huancaina, (delicious Peruvian cheese sauce) and apparently if you ask, she'll make something like the beef sandwich with tofu. I got two spinach/cheese empanadas, a chocolate alfajor (several flavors available); a key lime tart, a pavlova, and some chicha morada. I've never seen pavlova in a bakery; she filled a meringue shell with cream and fruit, and it was indeed delightful, certainly worth coming back for in spring when strawberries/fresh fruit is at its peak. The alfajor was crisp/crumbly and not too sweet; the empanadas are baked, not fried, and she warmed them up. It's more spinach than cheese, but quite respectable. The key lime pie was also respectable, with a crumbly crust; the filling was tasty but more of it would be good. The owner was super helpful, walking me through my options and noting that unfortunately yes, most of the cheesecakes have gelatin in them. I'll certainly be back to try her huancaina, get some more cookies, and maybe snag an Inca Cola.

I ordered the WONDERFUL beef sandwich called, "Limo Saltado." It was seasoned so beautifully and along with the thin sliced saute'd PERUVIAN peppers and spicy sauce made a perfect bite in the only roll that could complement this solid winner. The roll was crispy and tender at the same time. It wasn't a struggle to bite as it can be with so much beef! The current price is $14.50 and it comes with fries. Of course the fries won't make it home unless you're going to reheat in your air fryer (they should offer chips to go). The woman who waited on us could NOT have been more solicitous, kind and friendly. I have had their empanadas and I continue to think ALL empanadas have a way to go here in the U.S. Their crust is great and fillings well-seasoned but I always feel there should be a sauce or gravy. Don't miss this beef sandwich.

Just heard about this addition to Warrenville so I stopped in yesterday. To be fair it was almost closing time so selection wasn't terrific, but still had some variety and had exactly what I had stopped in for (small treat for a friends birthday). Employee that waited on me was very friendly and I got to look at the menu look check them out. I definitely will be trying them again in the near future, but earlier in the day.

As a native Peruvian this bakery is amazing! If you aren't Peruvian I urge you to try this place. It will be a new experience and the food, pastries and desserts are very good. The alfajores are some of the best I've ever had, the Lucuma cheesecake is amazing, the Peruvian crème buler and piononos are also very good. I also recommend to try their papa rellenas and empanadas. This fairly priced bakery is authentic , delicious and a new experienced for someone who has never tried any Peruvian culinary. Para todos los peruanos que viven en Chicago, esta panadería peruana vale la pena y la manejada. Le he comprado postres a muchas personas en Chicago pero ninguna persona haces los postres como Fabiola. Sinceramente la mejor y la manejada vale la pena.
